Google Maps Now Has Popular Ski Runs on Android and iOS

Google Maps wants to help winter sports enthusiasts navigate the slopes with 38 all new run and lifts maps. The search giant on Wednesday announced new ski resorts available through Google Maps for Android and iOS, where users will see comprehensive mountain information, including solid colored lines to represent runs.
Locations includes popular spots in Colorado (Alpine Meadows, Aspen Highlands, Aspen Mountain, Breckenridge Ski Resort, and more), along with locations in Utah, California and British Columbia. Each map is designed to help you not only plan out which runs you want to go on, but how to get out of a jam should you get lost. (Does it offer up-to-date traffic information?)
You can check out the same maps on your browser, and even visit a closeup Street View of a select few, Google said. So even if you can’t go shred right now, you can virtually get down your favorite black run without worrying about wiping out.
